Rhino 7 is the most significant improvement in our history. With our new SubD tool you can create organic shapes. Run Rhino and Grasshopper as a Revit add-on with the powerful QuadRemesh algorithm to create a beautiful rectangular grid from geometry or NURBS grids. SubD

For designers who need to quickly explore organic shapes, SubD is a new type of geometry that can be used to create very precise and editable shapes. In contrast to other geometry types, SubD offers free-form accuracy and at the same time enables fast processing.

QuadRemesh

Quickly create a rectangular mesh from existing surfaces, solids, meshes or sub-surfaces for rendering, animation, CFD, FEA and reverse engineering.

In Rhino 7, we’ve improved the presentation tools and streamlined workflows with major updates to the Rhino renderer so that it looks the same as the Raytraced window without changes. We added support for PBR materials, LayerBook orders, and more.

Refined rhino

We fixed hundreds of bugs in Rhino 7, but we’ve also added workflow improvements such as name pickers, shape tools, single-line fonts for engraving, and better interoperability with third-party file formats. .

We are constantly optimizing the Rhino display channel to accommodate modern graphics hardware. With Rhino 7, some models appear much faster on Windows and Mac. We’ve also made some improvements to the display mode to make it more attractive to work with.

Modeling is only part of the design process. You’ll also need to demonstrate how to create what appears on the screen. We have improved many parts of the documentation workflow, focusing on more extensive graphic illustration tools such as transparency and gradient lines.

Locusts

Locusts seem to be everywhere these days. As usual, we struggled to keep up (you may even see the familiar canvas in other apps). We added a few new components in Rhino 7, but we’ve also made it easier to turn your programs into plugins.

Development platform

Rhino 7 makes major improvements to our free SDK, with API improvements, better documentation, and some important new features that expand and deepen the fundamentals of the geometry development platform.
